It is my great pleasure to welcome all esteemed delegates, speakers, and industry partners to the 21st Annual Scientific Meeting of the College of Pathologists, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia (21st ASM CPathAMM 2026). This year, we are privileged to convene in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, bringing this significant event to Malaysia’s East Coast, thereby enhancing engagement while celebrating the region’s renowned hospitality and rich cultural heritage.
This year’s theme, “Breaking Boundaries: Advancing the Next Generation of Diagnostic Pathology,” reflects the dynamic and transformative landscape of pathology practice and our collective commitment to pushing the frontiers of pathology through innovation, collaboration, and the nurturing of future leaders in the field. In an era of rapidly evolving technologies, precision medicine, and integrated diagnostics, the role of the pathologist continues to transform and with it, the landscape of patient care.
ASM 2026 aims to showcase these advancements through a comprehensive and engaging scientific programme. Featuring plenary lectures, symposia, and interactive panel discussions by renowned local and international experts from various pathology disciplines. This meeting is more than an academic gathering. It offers an excellent platform for knowledge exchange, professional networking, and showcasing the latest advances in diagnostic modalities, research, and laboratory practices.
We are grateful for the strong partnerships with our industry and academic collaborators. Their continued support keeps this meeting vibrant, relevant, and impactful, especially as we navigate new frontiers in diagnostics and laboratory excellence as we explore novel diagnostics, molecular testing, and quality assurance frameworks that will elevate our clinical practices.
On behalf of CPathAMM, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the organizing committee, led by Associate Professor Dr. Noor Haslina Mohd Noor and teams, for their dedication and meticulous planning. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all contributors, participants, and supporting institutions for making this meeting possible. May your time here be intellectually enriching, professionally rewarding, and personally memorable.
